Budget Safari

A budget safari in Tanzania is still a fantastic experience where you get the chance to admire the animals in their natural habitat. Please do not be discouraged by the word budget. This absolutely does not mean that the experience will be of a lower quality or that you will see fewer animals. The only differences are that on a budget safari, you share the jeep with other travellers. Although you share the safari, you will always be guaranteed a window seat.

As for accommodation, you will sleep in a tent. Depending on the company you travel with, camps can be located either inside or outside the national parks. All providers have different types of tents. Some tents have a mattress on the floor. There are showers and toilets at the campsites. In some tented camps, there is electricity thanks to solar panels where you can charge your camera and mobile phone. Many jeeps are also equipped with charging facilities for your electronic devices. However, this is not guaranteed for budget safaris.

A budget safari will always include the following:
- 4×4 transport
- Basic accommodation in camps
- 3 meals a day
- A guide and a cook
- All the park fees
- Bottled water

Mid-range Safari

The mid-range safaris offer a little more luxury than the budget safaris. All national parks in Tanzania have tent lodges for travellers who want to enjoy a safari but also appreciate that little bit more comfort.

Lodges are full service facilities with private rooms or cottages with private bathrooms and have restaurants and lounges. Some have a swimming pool. Many lodges are architecturally beautiful, made from local materials and inspired by local designs and the environment.

Tented camps are permanent or semi-permanent camps located in areas where game viewing is excellent. These accommodations offer many of the comforts of a lodge in spacious private tents with beds and private bathrooms, and high quality meals. Luxury Safari

Luxury safaris are characterised by luxurious accommodation, where no expense is spared to create inspiring spaces that are definitely Instagram-worthy! Most luxury camps and lodges have all the conveniences you'd expect from a five-star hotel, such as infinity pools, pampering spas and personal butlers who will attend to your every need. The lodges also have balconies that provide stunning views over the savannah.
