The Lemosho route is considered as the most spectacular trail on Kilimanjaro and permits wide-ranging view scenery on various sides of the mountain. Lemosho is a magnificent choice for your climb because of its ideal combination of low crowds, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. Most clients climb Kilimanjaro using this route and they consistently report that they loved it. Thus, Lemosho is highly recommended. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the rain forest to Shira Ridge. Most of the unique wildlife can often be seen . The Lemosho route crosses the entire Shira plateau. The descent is made through the Mweka gate.

SummaryThe climax of your Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route adventure begins very early in the morning, around midnight. You'll embark on the challenging push to the summit, where the extreme cold and wind at this high elevation pose a formidable challenge. Ascend through the darkness, taking brief but necessary breaks. Near Stella Point (18,900 ft), you'll be rewarded with a spectacular sunrise over Mawenzi Peak. Finally, arrive at Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the entire African continent.
After reaching the summit, make your descent straight down to the Mweka Hut campsite, with a stop at Barafu for lunch. The trail is rocky and can be demanding on the knees, so trekking poles are recommended. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest, where mist or rain may be expected in the late afternoon. In the evening, enjoy your final dinner on the mountain and a well-deserved rest.
